Oil Pulling
The practice of swishing edible oil around in the mouth for a period of time and then spitting it out. Oil pulling originates in Ayurvedic medicine and is thought to improve oral and whole-body health by pulling toxins out of the body.
Orthomolecular Medicine
Medicine based on the theory that restoring the optimum amounts of substances normally present in the body (especially through nutrition) may cure disease and especially mental illness.
Oxidation
The rate at which we burn carbohydrates or glucose governs the amount of carbohydrates, proteins and fats our bodies require for our “fuel mixture.”
Oxytocin
A hormone involved in reproduction, especially during birth and also associated with affiliation behaviors and love.
