I work with females in various seasons of life from teen girls and college students to young adult and adult women who may be experiencing anxiety, trauma, stress and burnout, depression, relationship concerns, self-esteem challenges, or significant life transitions. Sometimes life may look like it’s going well from the outside while you recognize that something doesn’t quite feel right within.

I’m Dawn Marrero, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Arizona (LCSW #18098) and California (LCSW #81430) and a Certified Integrative Mental Health Professional (CIMHP). I take a trauma-informed, whole-person approach to mental health. This means we can look beyond symptoms and become curious about the different areas that may be influencing how you feel: your thoughts and emotions, relationships and experiences, nervous system and body, sleep, movement, nutrition, everyday habits, environment, values, and spiritual life.

Therapy is personalized to you and may incorporate cognitive and strengths-based approaches, mindfulness, somatic and body-awareness practices, nervous-system regulation, solution-focused strategies, and education about lifestyle and nutritional factors that may support mental well-being.

You don’t have to change everything at once to begin caring for yourself differently. Together, we can better understand patterns, notice what your mind and body may be communicating, reconnect with your strengths, and identify realistic changes that support your well-being.

For clients who would like their Christian faith incorporated into therapy, Christian-informed care is available. Faith, Scripture, prayer, spiritual practices, and questions of meaning or purpose can be included according to your preferences and what feels meaningful to you.
