My Process and Fees for Career Counseling
Here is where we start:
1. Application
Fill out the Application form and tell me a little about yourself and what your goals are for developing, expanding, or building your clinical practice. You may have a clear vision of where you wish to be but are not sure how to get there. You may wish to add or expand your work beyond clinical care into presentations teaching or consulting. Wherever you are in the process is just fine. I welcome hearing anything you wish to share.
2. Schedule Your First Appointment
I will contact you to schedule your first appointment. My schedule runs about 6-8 weeks in advance, though I can place you on a cancellation waitlist if you have an upcoming deadline to prepare for. Please add dkorn@protonmail.com along with drkorn@protonmail.com to your address book. Note the small difference.
3. Payment
Following confirmation of your initial 75-minute Zoom appointment, you will receive a link and request for payment. You should make this payment within 48 hours to hold your appointment time.

I’ll provide you with a Personalized Career Action Plan
Homework to help you reach your school or career goals
Additional follow-up appointments are billed at $285/hr.
What Happens Next?
Upon receipt of payment, you will receive:
a. A confirmation
b. A link to download paperwork
c. An encrypted email address to safeguard your information

Please return your initial paperwork at least 3 days before your appointment.
Our First Appointment
During our first appointment, I will get to know you, ask additional questions based on your intake form, share some initial ideas and approaches, and begin to develop your personalized career action plan.
Developing Your Personalized Plan
Following our first appointment, I will develop a working outline that is personalized based on our discussions.
During this time you have the opportunity to send me a quick email with questions or your homework.
Second Appointment
In my experience, a follow-up appointment is most effective when occurring within 4 weeks of our first appointment. During our second appointment we will continue to refine your goals, address concerns, doubts and ambivalences and explore valuable resources that will help you achieve your goals.
Together we will set priorities and establish a step-by-step plan that gets you closer to your goals.
Follow-Up Appointments
You may find 3 appointments is sufficient. However, for some there are complex feelings and experiences to explore and work through related to embarking on studies or an engaging career of one’s choice. In this case we will discuss your priorities and how often we will meet.
Once I accept you as a client my goal is to support your success.
Second and follow-up appointments are billed at $285/hr.
Option—Single Career Consultation
If you are seeking only a single consultation, or you are not yet sure if you want to dive in, you may make this specific request in your initial email. The fee for a single consultation is $445.00 for 75 minutes.
