I have never met anyone who was unhappy when I suggested that they eat more butter and bacon. Fats are medicine for the brain, so when eating fats consider a selection of raw oils and saturated fats. Avocado is rich in fats for the brain and skin.
In Mexico, it is called “poor man’s butter”. One of the first changes I ask my clients to make is to exchange the types of fats they are using. Substituting poor-quality fats for brain-healing fats is easy and one of the top three most beneficial changes people can do first (the other two are replacing refined sugar with better sweet sources and eliminating refined carbohydrates).
Prepare this special combination of avocado, coconut and chocolate, which is perfect for a refreshing afternoon drink if your energy and mood start to drop. These three foods are easily absorbed and utilized by the brain, and the drink is delicious.
If you are fighting depression, this will be a valuable add to your afternoon. Make this for your family, friends, and colleagues!

Feeling down?
If you are constantly tired, lethargic, anxious or prone to panic, are you vegetarian or vegan?. There is a chance that you are not aligned with your true dietary needs. Genetically your “engine” will not function with vegetarian fuel.
If this applies to you and you’re willing to try it, I’d suggest an experiment: Try adding animal protein into your diet three times daily for just 7 days, and take notes about any changes you notice in your mood.
